Champaign County Nursing Home started in 1953. CCNH consists of 243 beds and licensed by the State of Illinois to provide skilled and intermediate care. We provide skilled therapy services that include occupational, physical and speech therapy. There is a separate neighborhood for individuals with memory loss. We have a beauty shop, computer lab and a full schedule of organized activities.

This blog is to inform the public and family members about CCNH and volunteer opportunities.
I will list and revise regularly some volunteer opportunites that need filled.

All volunteers are required to complete an information sheet, sign a confidentiality form and have an interview with the volunteer coordinator; and take a tour of our facility. Appointments are required for this one-hour first visit. An adult must accompany children who are younger than 12 at all times.

High on our list of needs is visiting with our residents. We encourage volunteers to come and be a good neighbor. You can visit, take walks, play games and become a friend. One of the great things about visits like this is that you come in as your schedule permits.

Send an email; take some time to do the right thing: jhronek@co.champaign.il.us.
